Workstem has made updates to the field work attendance. This article explains the details of these updates.

Currently, adjustments have been made to the field work clock-in. First, the field work attendance must be enabled through the Web platform. Once enabled, employees will be able to clock in for field work as usual. By default, it is in the enabled state.

Only Admins and HR are allowed to adjust this settings.

[Settings] → [Configuration Management] → [Attendance Configuration] Click Manage to enter the operation page.

The field work attendance occurs when an employee does not have a set clock-in location, is out of the clock-in location range, or if the GPS clock-in is turned off at the clock-in location. In such cases, when the employee clock in, it will automatically redirect to the field work clock-in page. After completing the clock-in, the system will determine whether the field work clock-in is valid based on the formula set in the employee's staff information page.

1. If the formula for field work clocking on the employee’s information page is "Directly working hours," after a successful field work clock-in, the clock-in data will be displayed as valid, with a green "Field Work" label. When you click Edit, the "Invalid" button will be turned off (as shown below).

2. If the formula for field work clocking on the employee’s information page is "Work hours after approval," after a successful field work clock-in, the clock-in data will appear in red before approval, indicating it is invalid. After approval, it will be marked as valid. Before approval, if you click Edit, the "Invalid" button will be turned on; after approval, it will be turned off.

3. If the formula for field work clocking on the employee’s information page is "Not counting working hours," after a successful field work clock-in, the clock-in data will still show in red, indicating it is invalid. When you click Edit, the "Invalid" button will be turned on.

Additionally, updates have been made to the Attendance Data. You can now filter the data to find corresponding valid or invalid field work clocking records.

Field Work: Displays all field work attendance data, both valid and invalid.

Valid Field Work: Displays all field work attendance data with green status.

Invalid Field Work: Displays all field work attendance data with red status.

Only Admins, HR, or users with attendance permissions can log into the Web platform to view or edit field work attendance data.
