Kind reminder: Not all mobile phone models support Workstem’s Bluetooth clock in/out. Workstem currently supports mainstream mobile phone models, and individual mobile phone models may be incompatible.

If you want to use the Workstem Bluetooth clock in/out function, you need to purchase a Workstem exclusive Bluetooth device. At present, it is not supported to use Bluetooth devices from other suppliers to clock in/out.

Step 1: Enter our Bluetooth purchase official website, click "ORDER NOW"

Step 2: After clicking "ADD TO CART", the information page before payment will appear on the right side of the page. Here you can modify the quantity you need to buy, and click "CHECK OUT" after confirmation.

Step 3: You can choose the above methods for quick payment, or you can choose a credit card payment method after filling in the contact information.

Step 4: Check the contact address first, and then check whether the total amount is correct. After checking, click "Continue to payment".

Step 5: After filling in the credit card information and billing address, click "Pay now" to complete the payment 🎉.

Instructions for How to Add the Bluetooth device.

After receiving the Bluetooth device:

Power-on : Open the back cover with a rotary knob, press and hold the button. After 3 seconds, the blue LED keeps on for 5 seconds, then the starting up is successful.

Power-off: In the power-on state, open the back cover with a rotary knob, press and hold the button. After 3 seconds, the blue LED keeps on for 5 times, then the shutdown is successful.

Method 1: The administrator adds the Bluetooth device on the web page.

Log in to the web system, click 「Company 」 > 「Device」 > Add a Bluetooth device.

  • Device Type Selection - Bluetooth Device;

  • Enter the device name, Major (default 10001), Minor (default 19641) and device ID (each Bluetooth device has a unique ID) > "Save".


Method 2: After the Bluetooth device is turned on, use the Workstem One APP to add a Bluetooth device. The Workstem One APP must obtain the Bluetooth function and location information of the mobile phone. The Bluetooth permission and location information of the mobile phone must also be turned on during use. After logging in to the Workstem One APP, enter " More" > "Bluetooth Device Management" > "New Bluetooth Device" > "Add Linked Bluetooth Device" (When the APP recognizes the Bluetooth device, it will display the unique ID of the current Bluetooth device) > "Add" > "Restrict Clock in/out Location " (Yes/No) > "Confirm".

If you need to modify Bluetooth device information, you can click 「Edit」> 「Modify」> 「Save」or 「Delete」.

How to use Bluetooth?

The first time you use the Bluetooth clock in/out function of Workstem One APP, you will be prompted "Workstem One APP wants to use Bluetooth permissions and location information", click "Confirm".

After the employee logs in to the Workstem One APP, select the time or shift of the day, and enter the punch card interface. The system takes 3-5 seconds to scan the Bluetooth device by default. You can see the Bluetooth logo in the blue box below. If it is green, it means the Bluetooth connection is successful.

If the Bluetooth logo is grayed out, it means that it is not connected to Bluetooth, and you can press the "Refresh" icon to reconnect.

If the prompt "Please turn on Bluetooth" pops up, you need to check whether the "Bluetooth" permission is enabled on the phone.

Note ⚠️: Android 6.0 and above systems require the GPS permission of the mobile phone to use the Bluetooth function.

How to check when the Bluetooth cannot be clocked in/out normally?

Case 1: After confirming that the Bluetooth device has been connected, if the clock in/out record shows GPS or prompts "Not within the clock in/out range" and jumps to the field clock in/out interface, it means that the Bluetooth device information is not set correctly, and you need to check "Whether the Bluetooth device restrcict clock in/out location".

Case 2: Open the APP clock in/out page, directly click on the Bluetoothclock in/out , and the display is always in the loading state. It takes 7-8 seconds to display the successful clock in/out . A kind reminder: the system takes 3-5 seconds to scan for Bluetooth devices by default, and you can see the Bluetooth logo in the blue box below. If it shows green, it means the Bluetooth connection is successful. Please confirm that the Bluetooth device has been scanned (shown in green), and then click to clock in/out.


Case 3: Open the APP clock in/out page, directly click on the Bluetooth clock in/out and the display is always in the loading state.

a. Check the app permission settings in the phone > Workstem One > App Permissions > Allow Bluetooth Permission (Precise Location) > Allow Location Information. Then log in to Workstem One again, confirm that the Bluetooth device has been scanned (shown in green), and then click clock in/out.

b. Check whether the currently installed Workstem One is the latest version, iPhone enters the App Store to check whether Workstem One needs to be updated, and Android enters Google play to check whether Workstem One needs to be updated.
