Why the system has automatically locked my account if I have incorrectly entered the password 5 consecutive times?

Your account will be locked if the password is incorrect for 5 consecutive times. It intends to provide higher security insurance for users.

Reason of Account being locked for 24 hours

Note ⚠️ : Remember to log in with Email verification for the first time, and set your login password. If you don't and continue to enter a password for 5 consecutive times incorrectly, your account may face 24 hours lockdown.

How to use email authentication and set password for the first login

Step 1 --- New users need to complete email address verification before logging in to the App.

Step 2 --- The first login as a new user must complete the verification code. After successful verification, the system will enter the password setting page. (The password is for convenient login in the future).

Note ⚠️ : Description of incorrect password situations for 5 consecutive times

● 1. As the screenshot shows, after the same account has entered the wrong password for 5 consecutive times, the login page will prompt [Your Device OR Account has been locked for 24 hours due to five consecutive failed logins. Please try again later], that is, your account will be locked for 24 hours, and you will not be able to log in again within 24 hours.

● 2. If the account has been locked on a device, the same account cannot be logged in to another device, and the same prompt as above will appear [Your Device OR Account has been locked for 24 hours due to five consecutive failed logins. Please try again later], that is, your device or account will be locked for 24 hours, and you will not be able to log in again within 24 hours.

● 3. When an account logged in by a device is locked, the device will not be able to log in to other accounts, and the system will prompt [Your Device OR Account has been locked for 24 hours due to five consecutive failed logins. Please try again later], that is, your device or account will be locked for 24 hours, and you will not be able to log in again within 24 hours.

● 4. If the number of consecutive incorrect password entries is less than or equal to 5 times and the login is successful, the number of consecutive incorrect password entries for this account will not be counted by the system. For the same device or the same account, there are still 5 consecutive wrong times when next logging in. Similarly, if the password is entered incorrectly more than 5 consecutive times, the account will be locked for 24 hours.
